Dear reader (resident?),
In case you have been looking for the lyrics to the cong Clint created & sang for Ted’s Mom, Virginia, at their wedding, I have posted the lyrics here. Feel free to reference the episode, Home Wreckers or Barney’s blog for more info. The actual recorded song in it’s entirety doesn’t exist, but if it pops up I’ll let you know know on the HIMYM Music page. But so you know I’ve posted them here for the pancakes, the dragon…and you.
When I squeeze your trembling bosom
The blood pumps to my loins
When I penetrate the conservative facade
Our kindred spirits adjoin
You are my Mahatma Gandhi
My life changed by your peaceful grace.
Chorus:
I could banish war with Mahatma Gandhi
I could nourish world hunger with pancakes
I could slay injustice with the dragon
I could be more than me with you
The riverbed had gove arid
My spirit famished and unable to crawl
But then your warm golden rays shines upon me
Causing my emptiness to go AWOL
You are my warm stack of pancakes
Your sweet taste satiates my soul.
Chorus
The world is shrouded in clouds of hate
The scales do not balance
Alone I am a swordless soldier
Together we have limitless valiance
You are my dragon
I will ride you to new heights
Chorus
I thought I had found love before
But it was a two-faces politician
It was not pure like our love
Destroying my heart was its mission
You are my you and I am my you too
The matching iece to my heart puzzle
Chorus
I am complete
with Mahatma Gandhi,
and the pancakes,
and the dragon
and you… Virginia.
Victoria? Virginia…..
I know we all want Victoria back (okay, I do at least), but not as Ted’s mom ;).
thanks REbecca…mental typo that made it onto the page… It should be fixed now
Oh God no, I hated Victoria, she was so lame, such a douche. And Ted is a lot less douchy now than he used to be, Victoria was horrible!
And it should probably be the matching “p”iece to my heart puzzle 😉
