How I Met Your Mother Music
I apologize in advance because I’m not sure I’ve got a lot to say tonight. Things seemed kind of slow, to me… and in fairness to the show, the actors and all of the rest of us in the cheap seats, maybe that’s just a reflection of how my day went. I digress.
Barney. It’s always nice to see Barney still trying to be the only Barney, even though most of us have realized by now that he has changed. Bangtoberfest was evidence of that… and a brilliant marketing department. Like so many other Barney moments and schemes it comes complete with a eloquently planned website (heynannynanny.com). It’s a little funnier if you view the site before the episode ended like I did. Let’s you know something is coming. Still I wonder if this is the last we will see of Quinn. And honestly the whole episode I was secretly hoping that Mrs. Buckminster was secretly Micky trying to pull a Mrs. Doubtfire over on Lily & Marshall… however that would have made the Re-Return moment at the end quite awkward.
Ted. Robin. Victoria. Nick. We did get a timeline out of all of this.. though in HIMYM world, somedays a month means a season or 3 and other days it’s the opening part of the episode?
Marshall… and even more so Lily. We’ve seen that Lily has been having some trust issues with MArshall & Baby Marvin Waitforit Erikson, because of her dad. Usually I enjoy looking at Lily a lot more than I enjoy her character but it’s nice to get some meaningful backstory on her. The conclusion though probably means Chris Elliot will be around a little longer. He is there mostly for laughs but I get that some of you out there aren’t fans. It tough not to like him after the photo album though.

Barney: In the end the coroners report confirmed what I had feared, the female body can not withstand that many consecutive orgasims …
Ted: At least I’m not dating a girl…you know what I mean.
Nick: I don’t want you to fix this honey, I just want to be heard
Barney: I woke up in a dumpster covered in diapers… and I found a pacifier somewhere I’m not willing to disclose.

i liked robin’s hawaii slam/burn towards ted in their who is further along in their relationship. i’d need to rewatch it to remember it exactly.
I actually really liked this episode. It seemed fresh and interesting and only mildly predictable unlike the last two. It felt like old-school HIMYM, but with a mature twist which I loved. Very solid.
Not going to lie, I was definitely a little upset with this episode. I get that its an episode needed to set up the break ups and all of that, so I suppose it isnt TOO bad, but were reaching the end of the series and I feel like every episode needs to be a home run and this wasnt really one in my opinion. Other than that, I am definitely still looking forward to the rest of the season!
I loved the scene in which Victoria comes home. But did anybody else feel that being messy doesn’t really fit her character?
I remember typing it out… something like “Alo-HA Brun”… any mention of the Islands makes me want to visit again though 😉
I thought it was out of place… according to Ted, we have less than a month to notice more though.
I just didn’t see any real elements that jumped out at me… I like a good laugh that slaps me in the face and makes me ask for another… at least I think it’s my face… I digress 😉
I feel you. The issue is we don’t know for certain at this point that it’s the end… I’d say more than likely…but it would be great to know sooner than later, right?
Does anyone think the show is moving tooooo fast with its story line? I mean i guess they’re not sure of another season or whatever, but i feel like they’re just rushing it along. they took such a long time to show Quinn and barney’s romance brew up, yet they crumbled that in just an episode. And with Ted and Victoria its been so many years running and all of a sudden its like a blah moment. HIMYM used to describe the most pointless of ted’s dates and barneys conquests so perfectly and funnily, now its suddenly like they cant wait to get to the end, so whoosh whoosh. everything’s going. i don’t know, i feel disappointed. 🙁

When Lily says ‘you son of a itch-bay’, I believe it’s ‘gijibae’ which is a Korean word for ‘bitch’!
